There's still hope!

So, there's a new petition you just have to sign! There's still hope for in In the Flesh! Sign this petition to tell Dominic Mitchell, BBC, Netflix, Amazon or whoever that we, the fans will fund an In the Flesh movie! Or a season three would be better, but whatever! So please please please do sign! I've already done it! I would so support a kickstarter for In the Flesh! I need revenge when the G&T kickstarter didn't work out. So sign sign sign! There is a chanche that we might se Luke Newberry and Emmett J. Scanlan as Kieren and Simon again! And Amy Dyer is not dead! Luke Newberry in Banana.

This thursday you could see Luke Newberry in Banana. And he was great as always! I think he is an absolutely amazing actor and he is such a sweatheart. I realized he has played gay in abot everything I've seen. He's gay in In the Flesh, at least Kieren's in a relationship with a man, or zombie, and that counts. He was gay in Suspects as well. And he was really great in it! He played a small part as a young policeman in Sherlock, but we were not told about his sexuality, but you can only imagine he was a bit bicurious at least. I've also seen him in Anna Karenina as Vasily Lukich. I can't remember anything about his preferences but he was Russian and let's not go there. I know nothing about Luke Newberry's sexuality and that is not relevant, but he really has been typecasted as gay. I don't mind!

Cucumber Banana Tofu

Channel 4 really delivers. They are not content just to show the best soap opera ever by the gay perspective, now they also give us Cucumber, Banana and Tofu!

So, Cucumber is the series with longest episodes. It figures around Henry Best (Vincent Franklin) and his friends and family i Manchester. At least that has been the perspective i the first two episodes. You'll never know what happens.

Well, Banana has shorter episodes and has different leading parts i every episode, but it still figures around Henry Best and the others. And look, third from the left. It is Luke Newberry! I can't wait for him turning up!

And then there's Tofu. That is actually a documentary series. With very short episodes. Just around 10 minutes, But it is quite nice and interesting. Lots of people, like some of the actors from Cucumber and Banana, adult film stars, writers and other loose people are talking quite openly about sex. I t´like all of the three series and think they are well worth watching. But I'm still really excited about Luke Newberry! Love love love him!

Well, there is more to do. There is also a petition for In the Flesh to get at new home on Amazon. Of course I signed that to. I did that because Amy Dyer is not dead and because I can't get enough of Kieren and Simon. And Emmett J. Scanlan and Luke Newberry. And the series is all about to feel excluded from society and to try to fit in, and we all struggle with that from time to time. It is a very important tv-series. So please sign the petition! It's not just me who thinks that Netflix should renew In the Flesh. Here is a petition for the cause that right now has over 12500 signatures! Please sign it to! Just follow the link. And share it on facebook so we can get more signatures. And I have also seen a lot of messages on social Media to Netflix that is asking them to renew the series, and the responses have been very polite and hopeful. Please please please Netflix, give In th Flesh a new home! The PDS-sufferers need it!

Yesterday we got a sad sad announcement. BBC3 announced that there will be no series three of In the Flesh! I am heartbroken! There are still so much questions that has not been answered! And, really, Amy Dyer is not dead! Ok, don't get me wrong, I am not bitter at BBC3. The reason that they have cancelled it is that they only have budget for one original drama series a year and they want to "create room for emerging talent". That is acceptable reasons, but the story isn't finished and we need to know what happens! And we do need more Simon and Kieren. I now hope for Netflix to make season 3. Thay have done it before, when series get cancelled. And I really think that In the flesh is way better and interesting than The Killing! And when you're at it, renew The Carrie Diaries as well! Enough said!

New Year's resolution

Happy New Year! I have a New Year's resolutin for you. This year, 2015, I will blog a lot more. I have been lousy in periods.I think pressure myself to write really, witty,, and fun, and interesting, and smart, every time. I don't have to do that. I can write about what I want, because this is my blog.

Well, I guess it's no secret that I am absolutely stunned by the greatness of BBC3 series In the flesh and that I would cry floods if there will be no series three? To save In the flesh you should by the DVD/Blu ray and use the tag #saveintheflesh in your tweets and instagram post. And sign this petition:

I've done it all. I've done it all because I want to see Luke Newberry, Emmett J. Scanlan, Emily Bevan, Harriet Cains, Stephen Thompson and of course Dominic Mitchell make magic again. And Amy Dyer is not dead so we really really really need a series three. We don't want a series three, we _need_ it!

Some Suspects

EThere is a great show called Suspects on Channel 5 that is on their second season right now. It is a quite classic crime drama with a twist. The twist is that there is no real script with lines. The actors get som script outlines and improvises the dialogue. And it is really great! Because of the improvising the dialogues and the acting seems more natural, because, in fact, mostley (if you haven't rehearsed in your head) our lines in real life are improvised.

And there are some interesting characters for us in it. In the first two episodes of series 2 Luke Newberry played the part of Nate Turner who was in fact a suspect for a while. I realised two things by watching those two episodes: 1. Luke Newberry is very very slim and 2. Luke Newberry is a really really good actor! I had learned both facts by watching In the Flesh, but now I just realised it even more.

And guess what, Luke Newberrys character Nate Turner, yes he was gay. He played a 19 year old gay character that already had his struggles in life. And I for one at least felt for him. Poor Nate.

And speaking of In the Flesh and Luke Newberry. Emmett J. Scanlan will also be part of Suspects! In season 1, all storys spanned over one episode, but in season two the storylines are double episodes. That means that we have two episodes with Emmett to look forward to!

You would think that the episodes will be aired this week because the last two episodes was aired last week and the two first the week before but that is not going to happen. I read that we have to wait until next year before we are able to see the two Emmett-episodes. What is the point of letting us wait that long I wonder? In the last episode we got to see some clips from it and I also read that Emmett will be in season 2. But on wikipedia it says that season 2 is just four episodes and that there will be a season 3 in 2015. But I want to see Emmett now! I think it is very unreasonable of them to letting us wait that long...

But at least Emmett took a photo with Clare-Hope Ashitey and his tashfinger. That is a bit of a comfort at least.

For Hollyoaks fans there is more reasons to watch Suspects than Emmett Scanlan. Also Emmetts girlfriend Claire Cooper starred in the first storyline of season 2. Claire Cooper is no one less than the fabulous Jacqui McQueen for 7 years. In the second storyline we got to see the wonderful Carley Stenson who is known to us as Steph Cunningham.

And when we are on the topic Emmett j. Scanlan I have to tell you that I saw the movie Guardians of the Galaxy this summer, also starring Emmett J. Scanlan. He had the quite small part of the head riot guard, but it was oh so important. And he played oh so good. Well worth going to just to see him. But the movie was really great!

In the Flesh

I am totally, utterly in love. I am in love with In the Flesh. In the Flesh is an amazing tv-series with, so far, two seasons produced by BBC three. The first series had three episodes and the second six. To make a long story short, as we say in Sweden, there has been a rising The Rising. In the rising in 2009 lots of people rose from their graves and had some kind of zombie-like behaviour where they ate other peoples brains. But science found a way to medicate the zombies so they would work functually as normal human beings more or less. So now they just look a bit more zombie-like and they can't eat. But they usually wear make up.

The lead part, Kieren Walker (Luke Newberry), has just come home to his family in the first episode of season 1 and they all struggle with the adaptation. Well, to make it short, as said, we get to know him, his parents, little sister, zombie-friend Amy Dyer and also his best friend Rick who he has had some kind of love story with. Yes that's right, gay zombies that is. What's not to like about that?

In season two there is a lot of talking about a second Rising. And in season 2 Simon also enters. Simon is also a PDS, and that is the nicer word for zombies. It means Partially Deceased Syndrom, and that's the medical term for zombienism. Simon Monroe is some kind of revolutionary PDS that is melancholic and a little bit grumpy. Simon Monroe is played by no one else but Emmett J. Scanlan, the same Emmett J. Scanlan who played Brendan Brady in Hollyoaks. And I can't imagine anyone more suitable for that part. And in season 2 also this happens:

Amazing! And what I really appreciate with this series is that there is no big deal that Kieren kisses men. It was just natural for Kieren and Rick to love each other (exept for Ricks homophobic dad). And there is no big deal that Kieren and Simon falls for each other and no comments when Kieren presents him for his parents. Just pure love and attraction, no big statements and awkward coming out moments.

But I can assure you, there wouldn't have to be male kissing for me to fall in love with this series. It is just amazing! It is thrilling, smart, beautiful and witty. I love the scenary, footage, music, the actors everything! Especially the actors. And especially Luke Newberry as Kieren Walker. He is just so brilliant! And him and Emmett Scanlan together... And Emily Bevan, who plays Amy Dyer... There is some kind of magic in this series that I can't just explain. Watch it! And I really have my hopes up for a third season! They left us with a huge cliffhanger!
