If I've gotten some hope up for a Lalle reunion now when Elias is dead? Oh yes! If I'm rewatching Lalle again just because of that? Absolutely! I have to catch up with the storyline some time so why not now. And if MissFinlandia88 stops uploading ad subbing now since Elias died I will never forgive her! Even if you're not a Lalle shipper you do love Lari Väänänen don't you? And if there won't be a reunion between Lari and Kalle at least Lari could meet a new guy. But everyone nows where I stand. Even the screenwriters of Salatut Elämät now I guess!

Are they serious? Is he really dead? Well, that was a twist. Ok, I have to be honest, I have been expecting it. Petteri Paavola has some kind of estate agent education ongoing and I actually think that he has seemed more and more indifferent playing Elias. And I thought someone was going to die of the gays in Salatut Elämät soon and I have to choose it has to be Elias. I did really like him before, but after Lalle, it was hard to love him again. BUT. Gay characters should never die! You know where I stand there. But what happens to Lari now? Is there any chance for Lalle again? I really hope noot that Ronny leaves to! But I don't think he will. He seems more committed to acting. And another question: who was driving the car? I it was Kalle, I will NEVER EVER watch Salatut Elämät again. Never. So, once again: thank you Petteri Paavola for theese years. I think I will miss you this time.

A small secret...

Do you want to know a small secret? Actually, I haven't watched Larias, Lalle or anything of Salatut Elämät for five months! And I don't really miss it! Do you want to know why?

But it's not just that. The fact that Lari and Elias is reunited is actually the least problem, even though lots and lots of people think it's not a problem... The biggest problem which makes me want to boycott Salatut Elämät forever is that they made Kalle a wreck A really pathetic and alcoholic wreck! And I just can't stand that! Pete Lattu is an amazing actor but that doesn't really compensate it! No actor in the world could make a loveable character who is a pathetic and alcoholic wreck to be enjoyable to watch. Not even Danny Miller. So please Emmerdale, never make Aaron Dingle a pathetic and alcoholic wreck. It might be so that I won't return to SE until Kalle is in balance again. (But it seems like Lari still cares about Kalle enough to be a bit worried about him and that would at least be something, but I'm not sure about that because I don't watch it.)

I don't think I could handle some kind of Kalias! I mean, Kalle and Elias? That is just ridiculous! Ok, they are good guys, and would probably have a good time together, but is this some kind of Hollyoaks where every gay guy have to screw one another?! I really hope it is a joke... Anyone who knows Finnish? No, really, I don't think I want to know... Come on Salatut Elämät! How much more can we handle?

And speaking of rubbish, what the hell is this?! Now when things finally are looking good for Ben and Paul. I do ship Pen quite hard, so I think it's such a waste! I like Paul Coker. I think he is a very loveable character, so this I do not approve! I read something about an explosive departure. I really hope he won't die! Because we want him to come back to Eastenders in the future, with or without Jonny Labey! And the thing with bringing back dead characters a la Bobby Ewing in Dallas, is just so old fashioned! No, this makes me really sad.

And speaking of deaths, what's this?! I just can't take any more! Even though Ste is not my favourite person right because of that Starry twaddle, but I don't want him to die! Stop killing off all the gay characters! I am hoping for Ste to get his senses back and stop fooling around with that boring Harry. Ok, I really don't think that they will kill Ste, I mean, he is one of the Hollyoaks inventory. But he has bin in Hollyoaks for ten years now so you'll never know!

And speaking of Harry, he might have something going on with the newcomer James Nightingale, played by Gregory Finnegan. I would like that. Anything that might break up Starry is good!

...it's monday! To bad it starts with the boring Miskias. I do not really miss Miska and Elias together in Salatut Elämät. Even though it would be good if Miskas came back and conquered Elias onc more so he will not get in the way for Lari and Kalle! WTF Salatut Elämät?! You sure know how to break hearts! Why are you ruining this for me? Just when we got Lalle back together we have to make Kalle unfaithful, because there are no happy gay couple anywhere so the soap operas have to reflect the reality or what?! Ridiculous! Well, at least this pleases all the Larias-shippers and Kalle-haters in the world. But, when it comes out, i has to because it is a soap opera, Lari just can't hesitate to forgive Kalle after his little slip with Elias last winter. Otherwise it's really unfair!

Ok, I'm back. But barely. I still miss Lalle. This is a great loss for mer. But ok, life has to go on. And I still have hope!

What you can see above is Dolph Lundgren as a läderbög, a leather gay that is, in the Swedish show Melodifestivalen. That is what you might think of when you think of gays with a mustache. But I have to tell you, there's not many ut there! At least not many that I have found. Here's my finds:

Of course there's Brendan Brady, the super villain in Hollyoaks. The villain we all love to love because we just can't hate him! I absolutely adore both Brendan and Emmett. But that's old news. Oh I do miss Brendan! And his mustache! Best tash ever!

And here's Dom in Looking. A funny story actually, Murray Bartlett had his mustache grow when he was in Egypt not to look like a tourist and to fit in and he still had it whn he auditioned for Looking and when he got the part they asked him to keep it. An excellent story! Dom is quite boring but at least he is anice guy. With a nice mustache.

When Jon Partridge came back for Lucy's funeral in 2014 suddenly he had a mustache! I'm not sure if I like it... Mustaches are usually quite creepy. If you have a mustache you should also have a beard! If you're not Brendan Brady that is. Even though I love Emmett with a beard! But at least we can guess that Syed like's the tash. Or at least tolerates it.

Ok, this is not really Elias but Pauli, and it's not Salatut Elämät but Satula. but Petteri Paavola has a mustache. He got that from travelling around the world. Perhaps he was in Egypt to?

So, bye bye Satula and well hello Salatut Elämät! And I am already irritated. I really don't like all the baby drama. It is so old with an accidently child with a gay dad as one of the main ingredients. And I just know that that will eventually lead to the break up of Lalle. So boring! And so old!

And also, Petteri Paavola will be back as Elias Vikstedt this fall. Blah... But he has been claiming that it will be a more mature Elias that will be returning. At least we will get that. But he has also said that there will be good times ahead for Larias fans and that there will be some delicious Larias stuff coming. I really really don't want that. But at least, Elias looks quite fresh.

About the blog + Lalle

When I started this blog I did it kind of as an experiment. I didn't tell any of my friends about it, I did not promote it in any way and I did start it anonymous. A couple of weeks ago I did come out of the closet on instagram though, so if my followers are smart enough, they did get what I was getting at. And I have to say that I'm overwhelmed! I have lots and lots of readers every day and I get more and more very nice comments on my posts. I think it is very interesting to see how many people have reached the blog, without not even trying! Thank you all for your support! Thank you for reading and thank you so much for all the comments! And keep commenting!

And speaking of comments. If you have been reading my blog you know that I have been going from a hardcore Larias shipper to an even more Lalle shipper! I personally think that Kalle is a much more interesting character than Elias, and I just like him more with Lari than Elias with Lari. I can't really explain it. Even though Lalle can be just as whiney as Larias. And I know that Larias has a very solid fan base, and I accept it. I get more and more that Lalle shippers are a rare strain. But me and my faghag friend can't be the only ones ut there! We can't be the only two who really really like Kalle! So if you do ship Lalle or are a bit in love with Kalle and Pete Lattu, please comment this post! We have to be visible and not sttigmataized! :)

The really boring gays

Ok, there are really boring gays in soap operas. Just as there are really boring heterosexuals, of course. But I don't like boring people. At least not on television! So here are my favourite gay characters to dislike, just because they are so boring.

First up is Noah Baxter. The first real boyfriend of Ste Hay who also did snog Brendan Brady at one time. Kind of. And he was just soooo boring! I didn't like him at all, even though he actually treated Ste better than Brendan did at that time. But there was just nothing to like. A complete waste of time for Ste, if you ask me!

OMG, snooze! Nurse Felix DuBois makes me yawn. There is really nothing fun with him at all. But it could be! There was a threesome on the subject, and he is kind in a way and he is no prude, but he is not just interesting. I just don't understand how a black american nurse can be so boring? And I am really happy that Brad choose Lucas. I am sure he has a lot more fun with him!

Ok, there is some go in this character. He was not as plain as Noah och Felix, and he worked hard for LGBT-rights, but he was just no fun. He was no Oliver Fish for Kyle, and if he was an interesting character, we never got to see that. That could be the writers fault, but he was just an needless supporting character. Bujt I have to say, I felt a bit sorry for him when Kyle choose Oliver instead. Not that I think that he shouldn't have, but Nick was just so heart-broken. Poor him.

Miska, dear Miska. Miska Koistinen is really a very nice guy, and also a very likeable character. He is very kind, social, pleasant and fair guy, and he is a good boyfriend and a good friend. And he plays a lot with Elias little brother Oliver. But he is just so boring to watch! Nothing fun ever happens. I wonder if he has no humour? But I kind of miss him anyway because I think he was a good boyfriend to Elias and he keeps Elias away from Lari, and that is really important to me as a hardcore Lalle-shipper. So I really hope he will come back. Even though he is really boring.

And when I'm on it, let's throw in Elias in the dough as well. He is really boring. Grumpy and grudging all the time. He was kind of fun in the beginning, but not any more. He is just not as interesting as Lari anymore, that's why he is better off with Miska than Lari. lari is interesting, Elias is boring. Enough said!

Larias rewatch

 I got inspired by my faghag friend att started rewatching Larias. And I really do enjoy it! When I discovered Elias and Lari about two years ago I got really spellbound by it! I am kind of reliving that now. Larias was actually the second longer gay storyline I watched nd that was after Fervid, my biggest crush! Larias was my runner up for quite a while. And it really is someting special about them!

And I think that's because the really special chemistry between the actors Petteri and Ronny. They have said in tínterviews that they are really good friends, the do enjoy working together and that they are working hard to get the cuddling look as natural as possible. And that is clearly showing. And it is really cozy watching this storyline again! The Finnish has really given us something special!

Elias and Lari.

And back in the days I really was rooting for Lari with Elias and I was a hardcore Larias shipper. I couldn't imagine anything else and it really broke my heart when Lari left the anti-gay camp with Elias heartbroken. There was some Larias-snogging after that which I really enjoyed, but then I came round. And with a bang!

Ok, that actually isn't Lari, Kalle and Elias, that's Kristoffer, Sven-Erik and Pauli in Satula. And isn't it just hilarious that Pete plays Ronny's father in Satula?! The writers of Salatut Elämät has a lot of humour at least! But you already know that I, nowdays, am a real hardcore Lalle shipper, so I won't bore you with that again. But sometimes it fell like I (and my faghag friend) are the only ones in the whole world who ships Lalle? Are there any more out there?

Anyways, I am really enjoying wtching Larias right now, and I even got some Larias feels, but I know all of that will go away wheen Kalle comes along. I can't wait for that! And another joy about watching Larias again is I get some more of Kalle to. He is just so amazing!

Satula

So, the summer spin-off from Salatut Elämät is on! Or it has been for two weeks but yesterday MissFinlandia88 had subbed and put the four firts episodes on youtube. And I have to say that I have so much more hopes for this one than last years summer spin-off. Young girl, dream girl was really no good. But this seems to be really fun! The story is about Janne and Tale and how they go to Ulla's cousin Ulpu (is that really a real name?) to help her with her art school. There they meet Aino who was in the series between 2008-2010, so that was before my time. And also they meet a lot of people who looks like other people...

Satula seems to be some kind of virtual reality or dreamworld where all the pople are exact copies of people in Salatut Elämät. For example, the copies of Lari and Elias, real hillbillies, are called Kristoffer and Pauli, and they seem to be real homophobes. And Petteri has a moustache! And also, Kari Taalasmaa, who is a real homophobe in SE, his copy in Satula is gay! I already love it, after just four episodes. There is going to be 20 episodes which airs online on tuesdays and thursdays. MissFinlandia88 puts the episodes on youtube when she has time. And that is great, because I still don't know any Finnish!

And we might also have this to look forward to. If it's not off the screen, but why would Pete Lattu have ginormous earmuffs off screen? He is really cute though! And I am so curious of what character he plays, cause I guess it's not Kalle Laitela! So do watch Satula, it really seems to be great fun!

Ok, there is no secret that I ship Lalle much more than Larias in Salatut Elämät right now. And I really do think that I will be a Lalle-shipper until the bitter end. I mean, Lalle is such a more interesting relationship than Larias. There is just so much more dimentions to it. There is the age difference, the fact that Kalle is not Lari's first boyfriend, the fact that Kalle is a doctor, and he is also a rape victim. And the fact that Kalle is a well-educated physician and that used to be homeless and is now working in a café makes it even more interesting. For me Lalle is the real deal. But I just know that Elias will ruin it all. But in the meantime I am going to enjoy Lalle as long as it lasts. Here are some pictures that I haven't posted before.

And also, Pete Lattu and Ronny Roslöf are great actors. But I've told you that before!

Oh darn, Elias...

So, this screenshot says it all... Elias will be back in Salatut Elämät this fall and he will cause drama. Between Lari and Kalle I assume. Oh sigh... Ok, Petteri Paavola says that Elias will be more mature, and that sounds promising, but I really don't miss him. And I really wouldn't care if he never came back. But, of course, I guess Larias is endgame. But I hardly think I will be a Larias shipper again. Lalle for life!

Really I'm going to be a bit nasty today. Yesterday MissFinlandia88 wrote this in the Elias story channel on youtube:

Outside this story line Kalle is again avoiding telling the truth and I'm really starting to get pissed of by him. He knows something his mom did and is hiding it from his dad. Why doesn't he learn it's best to tell the truth immediately cos it will be out one day anyway and people will be mad at you for not telling it straight away? Ismo really trusts in Kalle after they made up last time and this is how Kalle thanks him... It's like Kalle never grows up and learns from his mistakes. Lying once again.

I really just don't care about this character anymore at all and subbing these clips really is not fun at all cos I don't care about Kalle and them as a completely passionless couple without chemistry even less. I really agree with you people the story is really boring at the moment and I'm sorry about that. Feel free to take a break cos you can do it unlike me unfortunately :/

Well really Missfin, I would really want to take a break from you right now! (And btw, that comment about you wanting to take a break but can't, that is so unprofessional). It is a free world to ship whoever you want, but if you have that "official" role that you have subbing the Salatut Elämät scenes related to the Larias/Elias storyline, I really would prefer if you had a more objective approach! It is very obvious that you don't really like Kalle/Lalle and that you are a Larias shipper, but you have really done both the clipping and the subtitling poorly for quite a while know, and making such statements about Kalle is really immature, according to me. Maybe Kalle is never growing up and lying again, but we don't know that because you don't tell us because you are almost not subbing anything nowdays! Subtitle the whole story so maybe we can get our own opinion instead! Now it'just you dictating how we should think and that is so not cool. Maybe the storyline is boring BUT WE STILL DON'T KNOW THAT! I really think it's to bad that one person has monopoly on subtitling SE and that person is so subjective that we, the ones who do not understand Finnish, has no chance of getting an opinion of our own. Please please, can anyone else start subbing the gay storylines of Salatut Elämät, so we might get to see the whole story and to getour own point of view?! Because MissFinlandia is not doing that. I am so disappointed.

Nowdays I am a really hardcore Lalle-shipper. I used to be a hardcore Larias-shipper, but I can change my mind can't I? And I really don't think, as MissFin think that Lari and Kalle is passionless and has no chemistry, quite the opposite! But I know that "smaken är som baken" the taste is like the butt, and anyone can think what they want, but I really love Lari and Kalle together. Even though I think that Lari and Elias, that is Ronny and Petteri, had really really special chemistry. Ronny and Pete is not up that that standard yet, but they do have great chemistry and they are excellent actors so they are really a joy to watch. I love Lalle, some people love Larias, but it is really up to each and everyone to have their own opinion. Not to be indoctrinated by some youtuber. Keep your opinion to yourself and upload the storyline objectively! Because I am really thinking of taking a break from SE, but not because of Lari and Kalle. And I am not reading your comments again. Just sayin'.

Yesterday I told you about the best actor in the world, that is Danny Miller. This might be the second best actor. When I say the worl, I mean the soap worl of course. That is all the world you need in this context. Anyway, Pete Lattu who plays Kalle Laitela in Salatut Elämät is just brilliant! As well as Danny Miller he is at his best when he is not speaking. He is at his best when he's just reacting. I love watching Kalle/Pete when he is reacting. There's just so much emotions and the moment is just going on and on forever. And the chracter of Kalle Laitela always makes me very happy. It might be a very dull and boring episode of Salatut Elämät with a storyline that just bores me to death, but as soon as Kalle comes into the frame I get really happy. I just love Kalle. As simple as that. Unfortunately there is no one who translates and subs the Kalle storyline i SE, but all we get is when he is involved in Lari's or Elias' storylines. Elias left the show though (at least for now) and Kalle is dating Lari so I really hope we will get some more of Kalle in the future. It is time to realize that Kalle really is the most interesting and loveable gay character in Salatut Elmät so give hime the attention he deserves! And this is a demand to both the writers and MissFinlandia. I have said it before and I will say it again: Larias is so 2013. Lalle is the new black. Kalle for president. Or something...

So, yesterday Petteri Paavola said goodbye to Salatut Elämät and all the fans. I can't say I am very sad about that. Well, I really loved Elias the first about two three years or so, but lately he has been really boring and annoying, and the storylines he has participated in has been really un-interesting. An I also think that Larias is out and Lalle is in. So, Elias left for Brussel, broke up with Miska (poor Miska) and finally left Lari and Kalle alone. I am happy as a clam! I am really looking forward to some quality time for Lari and Kalle. But I also heard that Petteri has been travelling the world for a time and now he is back in Helsinki and will be filming this summer's spin-off (eh, the last one was really boring) and then he will reaturn to Salatut Elämät. So whats up with all the goodbyes now when he is returning like now?! I really don't get it. And I don't want Elias to get in the way for Lari and Kalle. So bye bye Elias, if you come back, please date someone else!

Yes! Finally Lari made the right choice! I really am so over Larias. I've read lots of comments about Lari (Ronny Roslöf) and Kalle (Pete Lattu) and that they don't at all believe in the relationship and that Lari is uncomfortable with Kalle but I don't agree at all! I don't care if Lari used the same words as Elias did when he chose Miska (Juska Reiman), "I am with him because it is easy" or something, I genuinely think that he likes Kalle. He even said he loved him. And they looked realy happy and in love in the sofa. Elias (Petteri Paavola) is pathetic and he only has himself to blame because he dumped Lari first and Lari had the good taste to go for Kalle instead. Seriously, Larias is so 2013! Wake up, it is 2015 now, it's time fore Kalle!

Another disappointment

I am actually quite disappointed with the latest Larias storyline. No, I am actually disappointed with Salatut Elämät in general. What are you doing?

Ok, as I told you before, I was a huge Larias shipper. I am not any more. I mean, it is boring! The really pulled the stpry too far. If the intensions are to get Lari (Ronny Roslöf) and Elias (Petteri Paavola) back together, why didn't you last spring? I mean, we were up for it then. Now there is an more suitable love interest for Lari if you ask me. I think that Kalle (Pete Lattu) is better for Lari because Elias is a whiney little brat. And now, it might seem as they are planning to end the Lari and Kalle love story before it really started, and that is the easy, more boring way to go. I don't approve! But it seems like Miska (Juska Reimann) will break the engagement, and I think it would be an interesting twist, and a bitch lap, if Elias got dumped and Lari managed to keep his boyfriend.

And the kidnapping storyline! What is that? There are so many holes in that storyline that I can't count! I mean, how could Marianna carry Lari, Elias, Heidi and Janne by herself to the nest? Especially when it turned out that the nest was a room in Heidi's appartment! I mean, somebody ought to have seen her! And it is not that believable that Heidi wouln't notice anything, that she had prisoners in her home. And what about toilet visits? Really? They couldn't have not gone for the toilet in weeks. They same problem for Dodger in Hollyoaks. To make it believable, take the kidnap victims to the toilet or at least give them a potty! I am glad this storyline seems like it has come to an end, and I really hope they make something good with Kalle and Lari. Otherwise I think they wasted a whole year of precious Larias-time. At least, a proper storyline with Lari and Elias is better than this!

(And also, I am really disappointed in the clips on youtube. It is great that there is a pioneer that translates them, but lately it feels like only the most essential is translated and the scenes are cut so we can't see them i whole, and the storyline get's really cut into too small pieces. Right now, ,it actually feels like the translation is limited to the lines that direct linked to the Lari/Kalle/Elias/Miska-stoyline, and I for one would like to see the scenes in whole. I wish I understood Finnish.)

I've realized one thing. I've realized that Larias is quite boring. Especially Elias is boring. Lari is alright. Especially when he is with Kalle, because Kalle really is the most interesting, complex and loveable gay character in Salatut Elämät. MissFinlandia88 does a really great job uploading and translating the Larias scenes in Salatut Elämät, but it really is a bit boring nowdays. I loved the Larias story when I found it but now I enjoy the Kalle (and Lari) storyline so much more! There is an older storyline of Kalle from 1999-2002 which contains Kalle's first crush, coming out and a bit of Ismo homophobia. But back then, there was no youtube-days so to get the hands on that storyline means you have to rip it from a DVD, or maybe if you have an old VHS. Sinientomaatti has made some DVD-rips, but the storyline ends in the middle of the drama when the production company decided not to release more DVD's from these years. What a shame. Hopefully there will be re-decisions.

Ok, there is nothing wrong with the Larias storyline, but it is so 2013. 2014 (and hopefully 2015) it is Kalle and Lari that is the thing. Petteri Paavola and Ronny Roslöf does a really good job, but Peter Lattu is a really really good actor and he brings a whole new dimension to the series. I ship Kalle and Lari. But it is a shame that it is no good fandom pairing name for these guys. I mean Kari or Lalle doesn't really work... I have a great wish. I wish that someone starts translating and uploading the Kalle storyline as well on youtube, whatever happens to him and Lari. I think it is much more interesting than the Larias storyline. I would do it yself if a new any Finnish, but "ei saa peittää" and "moi mukulat" is not enough. But Kalle is my favourite character in Salatut Elämät, and he really deserves a lot more attention!
