Triles yet again?

Lyle Lettau and Eric Osborne.

So, there will be another Degrassi season. It starts January 4th and this weekend this photo showed up on instagram! Oh, how would I love if Triles got reunited! Miles Holloingsworth and Tristan Milligan was so cute when they dated briefly in the beginning of the 14th season but it ended almost faster than it started. What a shame! I loved Triles so much! And this photo gives me hope again! But if I'm going to be honest, I don't think they will get back together again. I actually think that they will be just friends. Miles seems to be a classical Christian Mann guy, that is a straight guy who falls in love with one guy and one guy only. But I would have loved it if I were wrong! So come Stefan Brogren, don't make us disappointed here!

Alles was kommt

Jo Weil.

Well, that's what the previews called in Alles Was Zählt. You can see the latest here. Jo Weil was the host and if you don't know any German he says that it's twelve days until his character Nick Danne makes his entrance. I am quite pepp! But, I have to say, it is quite bizarre to see Jo Weil in Alles Was Zählt! He is supposed to be in Verbotene Liebe, snogging Christian (not Dr. Jo Helmke).

Halo

Some time ago I blogged about some favourite fanvids, among others a special one with Lucas and Edwin from Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden. Well, as I told you a couple of days ago I haven't seen that storyline yet but I love the video anyway. And there's something very athmosphearic about that fanvid combined with that music. That is Halo with Beyoncé. Well, there's more great fanvids with that music.

How about my favourite couple of all time: Fervid? Ok, it's not the best picture quality, but there's Fer and David and what's not to like?

Well, there's another one. A little shorter, but a little better quality.

An there's a really great WilSon fanvid. WilSon when Chandler Massey played Will. I love that time. Ok, Will and Sonny are not my favourites, but they're really cute. Esecially in their early days.

But McDean are among my favourites. I think they're lovely! John Paul is lovely, whoever he is with! I really loved him with Craig and it breaks my heart again and again that Craig left him.

And speaking of Hollyoaks, here's Ste and Doug, that is: Stug. A really lovely couple. I loved them together, even though I was a Stendan shipper all through the storyline. Ste and Doug where good for eachother. I insist on that.

Another couple that was (or is because they're still together) good together was Christian and Syed in Eastenders. Even though there were lots and lots of angst and agony, they evolved eachother in a good way. Really really good for eachother.

And last but not least: Chrolli! One of the most amazing couples ever! Christian and Oliver was made for eachother and I will never forgive Verbotene Liebe for ruining that beautiful Romeo & Romeo lovestory!

And there's another one.

And another one. There can never be enough wonderful fanvids. Especially such as these.

Nothing going on

The Germans have really made the most memorable gay characters in their soaps. I mean, who doesn't love Chrolli, Joscka, DeRo och Cenny? But what are they doing right now? I really don't understand. In the years 2007-2010-ish, there were six regular gay(ish) characters in German soaps. There were Olli and Christian in Verbotene Liebe, Lenny and Carsten in Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten and there were Roman and Deniz in Alles Was Zählt. How many are there now? None!

Igor Dolgatschew as Deniz Öztürk.

Ok, that was kind of a lie. There har three bisexual characters. Deniz is still a part of Alles Was Zählt, but since Roman died he has just dated women. And not very nice women either. Please Deniz, step back outside of the wardrobe! Or at least have some juicy dreams about Roman!

Mickey Hardt as Dr. Jo Helmke.

And when Verbotene Liebe stopped being an every day soap (or at least an every second day soap) and became a once a week soap, Oliver Sabel left the series as well. I don't know if he did it by free choice or if the writers wanted something else of the show, but I do know that Olli was a very very popular character so they shouldn't have wanted for him to go. But Olli was never really interesting enough without Christian... But, he had a fling with Dr. Jo Helmke, and Jo is still a regular on the show But I haven't really watched the show since Christian left and Dr. Jo Helmke is not a favourite character in any way. I don't even think it's possible to follow his storyline on youtube. And that says enough!

Timothy Boldt who plays Ringo Beckmann.

And of course, there's Ringo Beckmann in Unter Uns. I do love Ringo, and Timothy Boldt hos plays him in the show Unter Uns, but it seems like the character is just part of really boring storylines. Storylines with no male love interests, that is. He dated Yannick and then he wanted to date Aaron (even though I guess he never admitted that to himself) and then there has just been girls. So I don love Ringo but I don't love Unter Uns. I think it's a boring series. It's a shame, because it could have been really interesting with Ringo being a villain and all. But Hollyoaks are good at that. Maybe they could borrow him?

Some sports

Speaking of Manuel and Lalo and their football (soccer) careers! It's not the first time sports has a major part in a gay storyline. And it's not the first time football is of major interest.

Kai Seebach and Joscha Degen in Alles Was Zählt.

First of all, lets remember Joschka for a while... I really loved Joscha and Kai. I think it's a shame the storyline ended so early! Joscha Degen (Carlo Degen) was a depp closetered football player in Alles Was Zählt, who dated a couple of girls, and even married one, before he met the doctor Kai Seebach (Alexander Gier) and there were lot's of sparks! He was so deep down in the closet just because of his football career, and he had to suffer both gay-bashing and oral abuse after he came out with a bang when the team won some kind of cup. But he got his pro contract han he and Kai left Essen together. A sunset ending.

Christian and Oliver in Verbotene Liebe.

Football is a sport for real men if you ask a lot of people. So is boxing. I for one think all sports are for all people, if they like it. And Christian Mann (Thore Schölermann) met a lot of homophobia both before and after he came out in his shooting boxing career. Fortunately he had Oliver (Jo Weil) to pick him up when everything went wrong. He also got gay bashed. I do not know of any out gay boxers in real life. I guess itäs because of the same reason as Christian had such a hard time coming out... But there has been some boxing guys who didn't suffer homophobic behaviour. Both Christian Clarke (John Partridge) and Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe) id some boxing, and also Kim Dahlberg (Jonas Bane) in Andra Avenyn. But I guess it's because they never boxed on any profession level that they got to keep their sexuality their own business. It's a quite interesting aspect of it...

Deniz Öztürk in Alles Was Zählt.

And my personal faourite: iche hockey! I really love ice hockey and we have a great league here in Sweden, which I do follow. Deniz Öztürk (Igor Dolgatschew) in Alles Was Zählt did play hockey. He had some plans to become a hockey pro, but he ended his hockey career because of some different reasons. Homophobia was one. His team mates actually beat up his boyfriend-to-be Roman when they realized that he was gay, and he was a figure skater. They damaged his knee so bad that it almost ended his figure skating career. I understand why Deniz had such a hard ime coming out of the closet. His team mates were really homophobic.

Roman and Deniz in Alles Was Zählt.

Later he started figure skating instead and actually had a small pair skating career, first with Stella and then with Roman. That is his boyfriend Roman Wild (Dennis Grabosch). And it really was lovely. Roman on his hand, also had a period when he was deep into the closet. In the beginning of the series, when he dated Andrew Wellington, he even lied to Annette about his sexuality. And later in the series, we got to now that back in the days when he dated that Marc guy, he was very closetered. But when he got in the paper when he kissed Deniz in Jenny's hen party, he realized that it was time to come out. There are some out gay figure skaters in real life as well so...

Just as a fun fact, also Roman's little brother, Florian, had some kind of coming out moment when he, also a hockey player, was in love with his team mate Frank. But Frank was no Frank but a Franziska, who dressed as a boy to get to play in the hockey team. That was also a cute storyline.

Lari in Salatut Elämät.

And of course, we have our beloved Lari as well. Lari Väänänen (Ronny Roslöf) in Salatut Elämät also had a shooting hockey career before him, when he met Elias Vikstedt (Petteri Paavola) and was kind of forced to come out of the closet. But he only did that after his team mates beat him up so badly that he couldn't play hockey any more. Also the knee. What is it with homophobic hockey players and damaging other peoples knees?! But I guess Lari is alright today anyway, even though he didn't become hockey pro.

Ronny Roslöf and Petteri Paavola in their hockey team.

And just as a anecdote, both Ronny Roslöf and Petteri Paavola, that is Lari and Elias, are playing hockey in real life. It hardly comes as a surprice because they are from Finland. Hockey is really big in Finland as well. Here they are in their team. I guess, by the look of it, that it is some kind of veterans team.

I am personally very interested in LGBT in the sports culture, and really do think that we need more open LGBT-people in professional sports. Mostly, when gay character is doing sports in a higher level in soap operas, or in other TV-shows (Like Zero in Hit the floor) they are deep down in the closet and they have to deal with daily homophobia. I think that is taken directly from reality, tragically enough. But, for the daily soaps to, give space to those storylines, is helping the awareness of the problem in sports communitys. I do hope for more such storylines, and I do hope for more professional sportsmen to come out as gay. We need more awareness and less stigmatization!

Alibi freundins

Speaking of girls who fall in love with gays, why don't wee talk a bit about the alibi girlfriends as well, the beards? It's called an alibi freundin in German. Ok, I know, they are the victims, and they are really taken advantage of. They have never asked to be used like that. But they can still be a bit annoying... And there is a lot of them!

First of all we have the legal ones.

Christian and Judith in Verbotene Liebe.

Judith Hagendorf (Katrin Heß) was living with Christian and Olli when they got together and because of his boxing career, and we all know that the the boxing culture is quite homophobic, som Christian needed a beard and Judith helped out. Even though she had a boyfriend. And then Christian came out with lots of noice on a boxing game. I really liked Judith. She was a lovely girl.

Joscha and Raquel in Alles Was Zählt.

Then we had the wonderful Raquel Santana (Yara Hassan) of Alles Was Zählt. She wanted to stay in Germany so she even married Joscha just to be his alibi. And here is a quite similar story, because Joscha had to stay in the closet because of his footbaal (soccer) career, and we all know that the football culture is quite homophobic. But it is only getting better and better! Raquel was hilarious, and I really liked it when she dated Ingo, who is a real favourite character in Alles Was Zählt. Unfortunately she died not long ago, because the writers of Alles Was Zählt is trying to make it some kind of middle-aged soap. I do not approve!

Joscha and Mel in Alles Was Zählt.

But this was not poor old Joscha's first beard. At first he dated Melanie "Mel" Wendt (Anna-Katharina Fecher) "for real" just to hide his homosexuality. Mel is a really shallow character that seemed to only date Joscha to be a football wife. But it seemed that she really liked him, but she was quite brutally dumped. Joscha just couldn't induce himself to have sex with her, which is understandable. After Joscha she also dated  our wonderful Deniz, who really needs to have a new man in his life! Especially when all the girls he is dating are sissys. I really do not care for Mel at all, even though she is Ingo's step daughter and even though she really didn't deserve to be used like that. A really boring, and bitchy, character.

Nina and Deniz in Alles Was Zählt.

And speaking of Deniz, he also had a beard once. It might have been that he quite fancied Nina Sommer (Nathalie Thiede) at first, but they really didn't mash work together but I think that he really delayed the breaking up because he was afraid of his feelings for Roman. Lovely Roman... Nina was a real bitch when Deniz had ended it with her and started dating Roman, but she matured a lot and in the end (she left in 2009) she was so likeable. She was a real good friend to Deniz and she was all supportive of DeRo. As should!

Lenny and Emily in Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten.

And of course, there has been an alibi freundin in Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten as well. And at least this time, Lenny actually was in love with Emily Höfer (Anne Menden) at the beginning, even though he was gay. But you don't fall in love with a gender. And I really didn't like Emily. She really was in love with Lenny and tried to please him so much, I have to give her that but she wasn't really that nice. Not during the relationship with Lenny or after. But I read that she did date Tuner after Lenny and I like him, so she might have become better lately. I don't know.

Iida and Lari in Salatut Elämät.

And speaking of really annoying girls Iida Mustonen (Rosa Rusanen) is really annoying! Ok, she usually is a really good friend to both Lari and Elias, especially Elias, but you will have to look hard for a more whining character! And she is really moody as well and Iida is a character that you never really get to know. If you are following a soap you wil get to know the characters so you will know how they will react in different situations but with Iida you will never really know. She changes all the time and it's like the writers can't agree to how to chracterize her. Really annoying! And she really just snogged with Lari to piss off Janne at first but then she got all in love, pregnant and anorectic and even more whining. Poor Iida.

Will and Gabi in Days of our lives.

And speaking of pregnant, Gabi Hernandez (Gabriela Rodriguez) got the baby, but she waiting almost until the baby was born before she told Will. Well, just what to expect of Days of our lives. Ok, I haven't watched the whole WilSon storyline, I have to confess, because I don't really enjoy it. But I don't really unlike Gabi, but I don't like her either. A quite bland character. Nothing to get excited about.

Hannah and John Paul i Hollyoaks.

And then we have poor old Hannah Ashworth (Emma Rigby) in Hollyoaks that I told you about yesterday. John Paul used her, and we did pity her, and she was alright, but also a bit bland. Moving on.

Rae and Ste in Hollyoaks.

But Hannah is not the only beard we have seen in Hollyoaks. Ste also had one. When he and Brendan was top secretly seeing eachother, Brendan actually told Ste to get a beard. Unfortunately Rae Wilson (Alice Barlow) got the blank lottery ticket. She was a lovely girl that Ste actually had a good eye to the last time she lived in Hollyoaks. But poor Rae really wasn't in a good luck. At first she got pregnant with Ste, caught Ste and Brendan in the act, lost the baby and then got murdered by the notorious Silas Blisset. But not in the same night thankfully. And I liked Rae, even though she was in the way for Stendan, one of my favourite ships.

Cleo and Harry in Hollyoaks.

But we also have two ungoing beard-storylines, and one of them in Hollyoaks. Of course. Hollyoaks have got everything! Are newest addition to the LGBT characters in Hollyoaks is Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool) and he is Tony Hutchinson's son. He came around in February (second time with the same actor) and I love him already. First it seemed like he fancied Cleo McQueen (Nadine Ros Mulkerrin) but then he made out with John Paul in The Loft! And he is only 15! There are really no excuses for John Pauls behaviour even though he didn't know about his age. But he is married to Ste and should be snogging some random scamps in The Loft. But ok, they have had rough time with all the HIV and stuff, but he still shouldn't have done it! And now it seems like Harry really has a crush on John Paul, who is his teacher! What a kerfuffel! And the lads at school are for some reason teasing Harry about John Paul because they know that John Paul is gay and to save his skin, Harry made out with Cleo and seems to be dating her now. Poor Cleo really like Harry and Harry seems to have a crush on John Paul and this could really be a mess!

Ben and Abi in Eastenders.

And at last I present to you Bem Mitchell and his beard Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) in Eastenders. I mean, what is he doing? We all know that he is gay. He used to fancy Christian Clarke (which he also accused of assault) and he came out for his dad Phil and he tried to snog Johnny Carter before he went away. What about all this closetness now? He really have no need for a beard. Abi seems to be a sweet but quite bland girl. No really, dump her and bring back Johnny! Or do a cross over where he starts dating Finn in Emmerdale. Or maybe Harry in Hollyoaks. Anything is better than this!

When girls fall for the gay guys...

Don't you just hate it? I mean, you can't help who you fall in love with but who would expose themself for the pain of falling for someone who there is a very very limited chance respond the feelings. I won't say that a gay guy can't fall for a woman, I mean we have seen it in Bob & Rose. If you haven't seen Bob & Rose? Just do it! Anyway, when a girl falls for the gay character, I really hate it. They just cause unecessary fuss. Here are some really irritating examples:

Olli, Christian and Rebecca in Verbotene Liebe.

Ok, on this picture Christian is actually kissing Rebecca (Jasmin Lord). Rebecca von Lahnstein... I really didn't like her before she became a lesbian. At first she dated Christians older brother Gregor, then she kissed Olli, then she used Christian for shopliftng and then she fell in love with him, even though she new he were with Olli. That is so disloyal! And she was so clingy and immature in those days. Didn't like her at all. She was clingy and immature at the same time as Olli and Christian had a tiff, and you can just imagine how messy things became! But then she started dating Miriam and became a little bit more interesting and then she went away in 2011. I didn't miss her. But in 2012 she came back with a new actor (Tatjana Kästel) and this is when it started to get interesting. She had a bisexual fling with Miriam as said, but now she completely fell in love with her brothers wife Marlene and this is when the magic happened. She was more mature and interesting in one episode than she had been in all her previous episodes together! So I have forgiven Rebecca. I like the new Rebecca.

Vanessa and Deniz in Alles Was Zählt.

Vanessa Steinkamp (Julia Augustin) has really changed for me through the years. I started by liking her because she was really supportive when Deniz and Roman started seeing eachother. Then she fell in love with Deniz and by then I really couldn't stand her at all! DeRo is a sensitive issue for me. I am a hardcore DeRo-shipper. If you come between Deniz and Roman I get really really angry. And at last death came between them once and for all. I have rarly cried so much... But I started liking Vanessa again. She is a real nice character, even though I can't forgive her for breaking up DeRo. But everyone deserves a second chance.

Carsten and Lucy in Gute Zeiten Schlechte Zeiten.

And what is it with girls being really supportive about gay relationships before falling in love with them? In this case, Lucy Cöster (Sarah Tkotsch) fell for Carsten when her brother and his boyfriend was in jail! That is such a betayal. Thank gods Lenny had done som anger management and could be really cool about it. Lucy was also really cool and mature, and then she fell for her gay BFF and became a small brat. That was such a non-interesting storyline to follow. And it wasnt even a realistic one! The cruc´sh just came out of the blue and I hated it.

Roxy and Christian in Eastenders.

And Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) and Christian Clarke... Really? She, his best friend, who always was jealous of Syed were of course in love with Christian. What a joke! She always tried to kibosh everything she could between the couple. Roxy is a quite fun and interesting character, who even volunteered as a surrogate for Christian and Syed, but you can't really like her if you are a Chryed-shipper. And I am. Roxy is in the way!

John Paul and Hannah in Hollyoaks.

And poor poor Hannah Ashworth (Emma Rigby). She was a kind of beard for John Paul when he was in the closet and she completely fell in love with him. I mean, who wouldn't! John Paul is lovely! But he came out and Hannah's heart was broken. But she still couldn't stop being in love with John Paul and she did some quite weird things and really tried to get John Paul back even though she new he was gay and she tried to sabotage his relationship with Spike. She really hated Spike. She even had grudge to him when she met him years later. Quite childish. But Hannah was a nice girl. I liked her anyway, but I really didn't like her actions!

So. don't fall in love with gay guys in soaps! You will have all the soap opera viewers who are faghags, and there ate quite a lot, against you. That is so unecessary.

The BIG disappointment!

JO Weil as Oliver Sabel and Thore Schölerman as Christian Mann.

I am really really disappointed. So, Verbotene Liebe has come to an end as a daily soap but it will continue as a weekly series. And so I heard, Olli has made his last appearance in the show. And what a bullshit ending of an era! Really, Chrolli, Christian and Oliver that is, is one of the most important love stories in modern (soap) time I think. We all know Thore Schölermann left the show in 2012 because of the lack of interesting storylines for his character Christian Mann, and since then, the series became a lot more uninteresting. He made a very appreciated appearnce in 2013, but since then nothing. And the couple also went through with their second divorce in 2014. And seriously, Olli is no interesting without Christian and vice versa. No wonder the series lost viewers and got cancelled.

Mickey Hardt as Jo Helmke and Jo Weil as Oliver Sabel.

Ok, the creators of the series tried to keep it alive by giving Olli a crush on Sascha (Sascha Pederiva) and a new relationship with Jo Helmke, but it just didn't work. Sascha was straight and Jo was slimy. We all were just waiting for Christian to come back! But nothing. I'm asking, why take one of the most beautiful love stories of all time and end it with a banal sleaze story? I feel violated and insulted. At least it should had ended with the Olli going to England and to let us know he was reunited with Christian off screen, if Thore couldn't find time to join the show for a sunset ending. It my world it ends like that. Just sayin.

Christian & Olli forever and ever! And that's that!

Love

Philipp Oehme, Jo Weil & Thore Schölermann.

Don't you just love this picture? I do. An what is just so peculiar with it is that the guy licking Joo Weil's ear is the actor Philipp Oehme who plays the part of Thore in Verbotene Liebe, and Thore is what the actor who plays Christian is called, and Christian used to be married to Olli, played by Jo, who is in the middle. Well, you get the picture!

Top three kissers

Ok, there are some good kissers. There are some kissers that are like "heh". There are some bad kissers... But let's concentrate on the real good kissers! Here are my to three:

Third place: Stendan - Hollyoaks

Kieron Richardson as Ste Hay and Emmett J. Scanlan as Brendan Brady.

There is really nothing to complain about in the Stendan kissing. There is just so much in them. It's mostly Emmett's effort. Well, passion and a great connection between the actors. I couldn't ask for more.

Second place: DeRo - Alles Was Zählt

Igor Dolgatschew as Deniz Özrürk and Dennis Grabosch as Roman Wild.

Ok, here is another couple with great connection. It is very obvious that the actors really like eachother. And DeRo has not only given us some of the greatest soap kisses ever, they have also given us the most steaming sex scene ever! I have to get back on that. In the picture you can se the guys first on screen kiss. And even Roman took Deniz by surprice, it was amazing! It's a real shame there won't be any more DeRo kisses...

And the winner: Chrolli - Verbotene Liebe

Thore Schölermann as Christian Mann and Jo Weil as Oliver Sabel.

Even though I am more of a DeRo-fan than a Chrolli-fan (but it is a close call), I have to say that there is actually no competition about the first place. Chrolli are, and will always be, te best kissers! And they will deliver us the best kisses. The picture shows us the kiss from my favourite scene that I have blogged about before and it is just so amazing! I don't know what they are doing, but there is something that just clicks. Me and my fiancé aren't even kissing that passionate, and I don't think we ever have. But here is a couple of actors that I know for a fact that they are good friends in private and that they do spend a lot of time together. And I really can't figure out why they don't bring Christian back now that Verbotene Liebe will come to an end... But if you would want to see the best Chrolli kiss ever, at least in my opinion, watch below:

Ok, there is no subtitles, but you don't need them. Just sit back and enjoy!

A disappointment

Eric Osborne as Miles and Lyle Lettau as Tristan.

I am really disappointed in Degrassi. When I started watching it i season 14 I loved it straight away. I watched the Triles storyline on youtube to catch up and then continued season 14, but realized that it wasn't enough for me. I started waching the whole season 13 and realized that I really loved it and was thinking of research if there is a way to watch from the first season. But then I saw in Instagram that they broke up Triles. Really? Did they get about three episodes together or what. And now it seems like Miles is going to go back to Maya. I am so disappointed! Why make a straight guy pansexual just to make him straight again? I really hope that there will be a Triles ending because I think the series need that storyline. I know that it has been done before, I mean straight guy falls for gay guy, it ends of any reason and straight guy goes back to girls only (Christian in Verbotene Liebe and Deniz in Alles Was Zählt are two great examples), but I am not sure if Degrassi has done it before. Besides, I think that Eric Osborne (Miles) and Lyle Lettau (Tristan) has amazing chemistry and who would not want to see that? And also, I don't like Maya.

An Olli check up

So, what happens with Olli? Is the house gay of Verbotene Liebe getting any action after the divorce from Christian? Well, it seems so. It didn't go any where with Sascha apparently, (no wonder because he is straight. I mean writers, why do you have to serve only straight guys to Olli?) and now it seems like Olli has a new fling coming.

Mickey Hardt as Jo and Jo Weil as Olli.

The spoliers tell us that apparently there is a romans starting in about a week including Olli (Jo Weil) and new character, the doctor, Josef "Jo" Helmke. If you recognize the name Helmke I can tell you that yes, it is Frank Helmkes half brother. And this character Jo seems to be at least bisexual. We know that because he used to have a boyfriend called Samuel. But what surprises me is that he also had a one night stand with Ollis half sister Bella. I mean, why just have sex with one sibling? So, what I can read from the spoilers there is an affair on the way, but no relationship announced yet.

So, now I wonder two things. First: Why have the writers given the new fling for Olli the same name as the actor who plays Olli? Dr Josef is called Jo, and the actor Johannes is called Jo. Very confusing? And second: When is Christian coming back? Really, if the series is going to be cancelled, I think it's not to much to demand one of the greatest gay love storys to end well. What about a happy ending for a gay love story for a change? But I also realise that if there is going to be some Oliver Sabel action again, I need to sontinue watching this story. Olli is a nice character and Jo Weil seems to be a really nice guy. Win win.

Sextember

In a tumblr I use to check out, I think it was this one, the concept Sextmeber occured along ith this image:

I guess it's all from Shameless USA. I like the concept so I decided to make an own sextember tribute. But to find hot and steamy pictures from hot and steamy sex scenes between gays in soap operas was easier said than done. Gays usually don't get to have sex scenes. I guess the only ones that got to get some sex scenes worthy of the name are DeRo (Deniz and Roman ) and Chrolli (Christian and Oliver). And a little bit of Ringo with Yannick and Aaron maybe... But here is my version of Sextember!

It's nothing special really, just a small collage made i picCollage, and some of the photos are not actually sex scene photos, but some kind of foreplay or just snogging, but at least we have both WilSon (Will and Sonny, Joschka (Joscha and Kai, Chrolli, Yango (Ringo and Yannick), DeRo and Larias (Lari and Elias). And that is not bad. That is not bad at all...

The End

Just about the time when Verbotene Liebe had their 4500 episode aired it was also announced that the series has got cencelled. The viewers has gone down and I guess it is no point of carrying on.

Jo Weil and the cast.

Jo Weil, who really seem to love his job, despite quite shitty storylines for his character Olli lately, announced on his facebook page that the series has been cancelled and that it will come to an end early next year. Well, I can't say that I'm surpriced or even that upset about it. The series really became blaha, and no interesting storylines for anyone. Just same old same old. Of course it is sad that Verbotene Liebe will come to an end, because it was an Ok soap which delivered very memorable scenes, especially with Chrolli, but I think this is really the only right thing to do. Nothing can last forever.

Oliver and Christian.

And really, no writers, there is nothing to keep you from bringing Chrolli back together! When the series is cancelled I really hope that Thore Schölermann is up for coming back to the show so we can have our sunset ending for Christian and Oliver. Really, the storylines for Olli after Christian is nothing to hang in the christmas tree. Even though the Chrolli story got a little bit mudded by yet another divorce, there is no other ending than a Chrolli ending. That would really be a scandal.

And I really hope the writers will give us a real boombastic ending, because in January, Verbotene Liebe will have a 20 years celebration, and they really have their chance to do something really good with it. I want lot's of old characters returns (just as when the show trurned 10 years) and I want lot's of happiness. I imagine a great storyline would be that my other favourites Tom and Ulli returning to Düsseldorf to get married where they meat Olli (who is Tom's ex) who invite both him and Christian (who Olli met in the supermarket or something) to their wedding and when they see all the happiness and love they get carried away and can't help falling into eachothers arms and saken är biff! Perfect ending! Who do I contact about this great idea?

Tom and Ulli

As told before Christian and Oliver, Chrolli, is not the first same sex couple in the German soap opera Verbotene Liebe. They are not even the second, or the third. In fact, Verbotene Liebe have had lots and lots of same sex couples through the series, both male and female. For me, Chrolli are a favourite couple, alongside Tom and Ulli.

Ulli and Tom.

In 1999 the character Ulrich "Ulli" Prozeski (Andreas Stenscke) met Tom Seifert (Kay Böger) and he didn't like him. He really despised him until Tom, who of course was the really really nice gay guy saved him from a bit of kerfuffel and the became good friends. Ulli has a bit of a problem with Tom being gay of course, like any aother closeted gay guy. But in the end they end up snogging a couple of times before a little bit of a denial and then they end up as a couple in New Years Eve. And there are sparks! The snogging in front of the fire place really deserves and Oscar in my oppinion. Thore Schölermann and Jo Weil have gotten a lot of praise for their natural and passionate kissing as Christian and Oliver, but in my opinion Andreas Stenscke and Kay Böger are doing their job as good as the Chrolli actors. I can watch the episode with the fire place at New Years Eve over and over again.

Kay Böger as Tom and Andreas Stenscke as Ulli.

Unfortunately the love story is good but short. in 2000 Ulli moves to München and leaves Tom with a broken heart. The break up is really heart wrecking in the train station where Tom breaks up with Ulli just as he boards the train. So the broken heart ought to be mutual. Tom then has a hard time to commit again before he meets Olli. Thats right, it's the same Olivers Sabel that Christian marries later in the series.

Tom and Olli.

But in my opinion, and I can have an opinion because it's my blog, Tom and Olli is not a couple with sparks. I never really liked them together. No real passion and I can feel that Tom never really got over Ulli. The proof of that we got when Ulli came back to Düsseldorff for a couple of weeks and Tom cheats on Olli in a hotel room. And really Tom, Ulli and Olli? Couldn't yoy meet a guy with a little bit less similar name?

Andreas Stenscke and Kay Böger together with Dominic Saleh-Zaki who plays Andi.

Well, yet another time Ullis heart is broken and he has to return to München empty handed. Tom later breaks up with Olli who ends up heart broken (lots of broken hearts in this storyline. Ulli even leaves a heartbroken girlfriend when he first got together with Tom) and eventually both Tom and Olli leaves Düsseldorff and the series. But the storyline doesn't end there because some years later, in 2005 when Verbotene Liebe have it's 10 years anniversary Tom and Ulli reaccures in a couple of short scenes where we learn that the couple was reunited and both lived in München together. Yay! Another happy ending!

More Olli spoilers

Ok, some time ago I spoiled that Christian and Oliver, Chrolli that is, would get a second divorce and maybe part once and for all. Now that particular scenes passed by and I have some new spoilers that I've read on Gaydaytime and other places in the cyberspace. I kind of stopped following Verbotene Liebe after Christians short comeback this autumn, but I will be catching up some time. VL is actually a quite fun soap with lots of nice characters. But for now spoilers from forums will do. If I have it right this is what happens:

Oliver (Jo Weil) has a room mate called Sascha (Sascha Pederiva) that he gets a crush on, but he also has a one night stand with some random guy. He tells Christian who tells him to go to London emediately, which results in Chrollis second divorce. Olli and Sascha flirts a bit and at some point kisses and when Sascha watches Olli with another guy, another one night stand, it starts something in him that leeds to that Olli and Sascha has sex. But Sascha tells Olli it was only an experiment (sounds familiar? Yes just what Christian tells Olli back in the days) and that he is not gay but Olli still crushes in Sascha.

That's what I know right now. I think it's quite boring to do the exact thing again, Olli falls for straight guy, the have sex but straight guy claims it to be an experiment and bla bla. The story repeats. I hope the writers will do something good of it and not just an Olli/straight guy thing again. If I could decide I would bring Christian back but unfortunately I can't decide. Or if the writers would want to spice it up a bit why not pair up Olli with a woman? Olli is actually stated as bisexual in the beginning of the Olli storyline.

Anyways, there is actually some kind of storyline between Olli and Sascha and I will therefor give you a sneak peak of how it looks. I borrowed the picture from the Gaydaytime user Chrollianne, and it is a lovely picture. I will give the Olli and Sascha storyline a chance.

Sascha Pederiva as Sascha and Jo Weil as Oliver Sabel.

Favourite fanvids ep.2

It's time. It's time for episode 2. It's really time for some nice fanvids. And it's definitely time for DeRo.

Deniz and Roman really are one of my absolute favourites. They are really cute and the actors Dennis Grabosch and Igor Dolgatschew really have good chemistry. It is really obvious that they like each other. The couples had three break ups and got together for a fourth time before Roman died. What a shame. But this is a couple with lots of on-and-off drama and lots of tears. But my favourite video is one where there are just happiness.

It's abit blurry but worth watching it anyway. More than three minutes snogging and pure DeRo happiness. You just have to love it! The music is Don't wake me up with Chris Brown.

There is also lots of love and happiness in this version on We found love, performed by Alex Goot. The version is really nice and the fanvid is quite steamy. Prepare yourself.

Another couple with lot's of on-and-offs are Chrolli, Christian and Oliver. A fanvid with a lot more pain is this version of Coldplays lovely song Fix you, performed by Boyce Avenue & Tyler Ward. Many of the scenes is from their first break up, between the first and the second wedding. it's even though a beautiful fanvid with beautiful music, and I really like it. And again, the chemistry between Thore Schölerman and Jo Weil playing Christian and Oliver is amazing. Those kisses!

But we really need som happy Chrolli to, so let's watch some early Chrolli with Shut up and sleep with me by Sin with Sebastian. Everything get's good with Sin with Sebastian. Especially German gays. Just so you know.

Gay weddings

Sonny Kiriakis and Will Horton at their wedding.

This week the first gay male wedding i a daytime soap in USA happened. There are a lot of daily, and long-running, soaps in USA so it was about time. The supercouple Will Horton (played by Guy Wilson, previously by Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (played by Freddie Smith) from Days of our lives finally tied bands. The couple has been an item since 2012 and finally there was a wedding. It was just as sugery and sleazy as to expect from an american wedding. This with own wedding vows is nothing we are used to in Sweden. We are quite sparing with feelings. But it was cute and we do need lot's and lot's of same sex weddings in american TV.

Kevin Walker and Scotty Wandell in Brothers & Sisters.

It has happened before, but not in a daytime show. In 2008 Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys) and Scotty Wandell (Luke Macfarlane) got married in the ABC series Bothers & Sisters. They even had Calista Flockhart (Kevin's sister Kitty) as a wedding officiant. The couple are cute as hell and they even got children. We need more of those role models in american TV.

There might be more gay weddings in american TV-shows but they are few. And we have some here and there in the world, but it is not naturally obvious that a same-sex couple can get married, not even in soaps. It is not for instance not allowed in Finland and Germany, the home of Larias, Chrolli and DeRo among others. But that didn't stop Christian and Oliver to get married - twice.

Jo Weil and Thore Schölermann as Olli and Christian.

In Germany it is allowed to enter into partnership since 2001, and that's what Christian Mann (Thore Schölermann) and Oliver Sabel (Jo Weil) did in 2010. And then again in 2012 after a divorse they regretted just a couple of days afterwards. But in Verbotene Liebe, Christian and Olli never talked about anything else than that they were going to get married. The first wedding was even in a church, with a homosexual priest. You can make a "real" church wedding, even though you are not allowed to. But it is really about time for Germany to institute same sex marriage while being such a modern and gay-friendly country.

Menno Kuiper and Lucas Sanders in white.

The Netherlands was the first country to institute same-sex weddings in 2001 and this year they even got a soap gay wedding. Lucas Sanders (ferry Doedens) finally got to keep a love and gets to marry Menno Kuiper (Dave Mantel) in white, in a church (it seems) with Lucas father as a wedding officiant. Beautiful!

Christian Clarke and Syed Masood.

And there finally was a wedding between Christian Clarke (John Partridge) and Syed Masood (Marc Elliott in the British long running show Eastenders. It almost didn't happen, but Syed appeared just in the last second before the wedding officiant left. This happened in 2012, but it was not until this year, 2014, the law about same-sex marriages has became reality for the citicens of England, Wales and Scotland. Northen Ireland still has som leaps to go. In the Christian and Syed wedding Christian said in his (yet again quite cheesy) vows to Syed that he loves him more than all the stars in the heaven. If that isn't love, I don't know what is.

David and Fer kissing, after David's been steeling one of the grooms.

There almost was a gay wedding in Spanish Física o Química in 2010 between Fer and Borja, but just as the couple was going to say yes, David entered the chapel and Fer got doubts. After kissing in the rain and becoming wet, fer decided to go for David instead (yay!) and the couple even asked the wedding officiant to marry them right there and then. But she didn't want to. Bummer. The home country of the actors Adrian Rodriguez and Javier Calvo has gender neutral marriage since 2005, so it could have become reality, right there and then. Unfortunately Fer dies in the next season. Bummer again.

Stefan Holmberg and Micki Sandell.

Exept for the wedding between Jens Erik and Thomas Wallin in Danish 2900 Happiness I am not aware of any gay marriages in a nordic soap opera or TV-series but the one between Micki Sandell and Stefan Holmberg in Rederiet in 2000. But, and there is a but, same-sex marriages was not instituted in Sweden until 2009, so this was actually a registered partnership. Why do we always have to be so slow in Sweden? We need more same-sex marriages on Swedish television, and in television in general. Love is beautiful and we really do need to teach our children that lova has multiple faces and why not on TV? I borrow the words from Tiamat and say that: It's about time we all get out and vote for love!
