Relaciones Peligrosas

Diego and Alejandro.

A while ago I watched the Alego storyline from Relaciones Peligrosas, a spanish-speaking telenovela from the USA-based television network Telemundo in Miami. I thought it was quite alright and got quite caught by the storyline. I googled the series a bit and imagine my surprise when I realised that it's a remake of my favourite series/storyline Física o Química! And I didn't realise that! Well, alright, in the beginning it was quite alike with a dead druggie and his best friend the gay guy, who later has a fling with a quite macho "straight" guy who has an unsupportive father. And there's a teacher who has a fling with a student. Maybe I have should have seen the resemblance...

Anyway, Alejandro "Ale" Portillo, played by the Puerto Rican actor Kevin Aponte, is Fer in this series and he is really sweet and cute. Diego Barón, played by the Venezuelan actor Jonathan Freudman is the David of this series, and he is quite like David. And he is also really cute. But I don't really get why they make another Física o Quimica, also in Spanish, that takes part in Miami of all places. With a lot of actors from everywhere. I just don't get it. What's wrong with the original? But the couple is cute and it's not a waste of time to watch it. Even though...

Modus

The Modus rainbow family.

I've started watching Modus. Modus is a crime based on the book Frukta inte by the Norwegian writer Anne Holt. And it really is a joy for us who likes an LGBT point of view. There is more than one dyke and there's even an whole rainbow-family. In the series you meet Patricia (Liv Mjönes) and Sophie (Josefine Tengblad) who has a child together with Rolf Ljungberg (Peter Jöback) and Marcus Ståhl (Magnus Roosmann). And a rainbow-family in a drama where the fact that it is a family with two fathers and two mothers is not that usual i Swedish dramas. But hey, you have to start somewhere!

Magnus Roosmann and Peter Jöback.

And I have to say that Peter Jöback and Magnus Roosmann as Rolf and Marcus are really cute! And it is so odd seeing Peter Jöback such a production. If you don't know who Peter Jöback is I can tell you that he is a big musical-star in Sweden.

So, how do you watch it? Well, you go to TV4Play and watch it there. But I think you need to be in Sweden for that. Or a hacker maybe. But it is really great and I am really curious how the story turns out for Rolf and Marcus. I think someone of them will die. They always do.

Coliver

The How to get away with murder-boys.

So, the How To Get Away With Murder season 2 is on! And I have to say that I am excited about it. Not so much about the series, because I think it's not all that and Annelise is really creepy, but I am so excited about Coliver!

Jack Falahee and Conrad Ricamora.

They are just so cute. I actually heard that Coliver will take a bigger part in the second season, and thank gods for that, I have to say. Because as I said, the series is not really all that. I mean, it's not bad at all, it's actually nail-biting and the actors are just great, but the characters - not so much. There's not that many to like. I like Connor and Oliver of course, and Wesley, but that's about all. But again, the actors are really great, all of them! And more Coliver means more Jack Falahee and Conrad Ricamora, and that is great, and it means more snogging and more cuteness. I just hope they will be alright with the HIV and all... But already in the first episode, Connor moved in to Oliver's flat, so it seems promising!

Hollyoaks beauty!

Ross Adams, Parry Glasspool, James Sutton and Kieron Richardson.

OMG. While watching this I have two questions. One: why can't I by this magazine in Sweden, and two: how is it possible not to be a McHay shipper?! Just look at them! Look att James Sutton and Kieron Richardson having a major bromance! Not convinced? Ok, look at this:

Beauty.

It is just so obvious that they do like eachother! James has been quite clear about being a McHay shipper and and actually, it was Kieron's idea to get Ste and John Paul together because he wanted to be a McQueen. I meen, who wouldn't? Well, that leaves Scott and Harry, and I am not sure about that, but I don't hate the idea. I like Scott, nowdays, and I like Harry so I am open for trying it. I mean, it can't be worse than Starry! Mchay ftw!

Interns

What's happening i soap operas right now? Are there just interns writing the manuscrips or what?

Guy Wilson and Freddie Smith.

Let's start with Days of our lives. Well, Sonny's just left the show and it is already a rumour that he will return. And Will on his hand, will die! Why? Why make a character leave the show just to take him back when you kill of his husband? I really don't get it. An really, Will Horton is an icon in this show! Personally I like Chandler Massey better than Guy Wilson, but I was hoping for Will to be kept alive. Interns, I has to be interns...

Parry Glasspool and Kieron Richardson.

And what on earth are Hollyoaks doing? First they seperate Ste and John Paul, the married couple, who according to me are made for eachother, just to make Ste go straight and start dating Sinead, the witchy bitch, a female, and later cheat on her with Harry, the 17 year old! I just don't get it! Sinead and Harry, when John Paul is around! Please make this storyline stop soon! And I can't wait for Christmas! This storyline is just so bad and messy that it can't be anyone else than interns who writes it. The HIV-positive gay man with a girlfriend and a 17 year old lover. I mean, come on!

Ronny Roslöf and Pete Lattu.

But then there's Lalle and Salatut Elämät. I think that storyline is the worst of them all. Ok, it's not as messy as the Hollyoaks shit, but it is just so boring! I mean, we have all seen it before, and more than once! What happened to writing an own storyline instead of borrowing an old worn out storyline from Days, Hollyoaks, Eastenders etc. The list is long. Very long. And it gives me headache! It is so obvious that this baby-storyline is just a long-drawn way to get Lalle to slit up and Larias to reunite. And that is so what to expect. How about a bit of a surprise writers? How about a wedding between Lari and Kalle? How about not doing the expected? Well, ok, I didn't think so. But such a typical, old a worn put storyline can't be written by anyone but interns. So how about sacking the interns and get back in track with the storylines?

Scott Drinkwell

Ross Adams as Scott Drinkwell in Hollyoaks.

I have to say that I've changed my oppinion about Scott Drinkwell. He's actually a lot of fun! I enjoy watching him nowdays and I am really looking forward to Scott finding a love interest. I actually wouldn't mind seeing him having a thing with Ste or John Paul. But nothing more than a fling, because Ste and John Paul will be meeting eachother on Christmas day! And as you know, I really don't enjoy Starry. Even though I would want to.

And speaking of Ste and Scott, it is said that Sinead's last episode is tomorrow. I really don't mind at all!

Attaboy Danny!

David Tennant and Danny Miller.

I recon no one is surprised to see that this years winner in the Best Soap Actor cathegory was Danny Miller in yesterdays TV Choice Awards! And it is so well deserved! Danny is just amazing! We'll have to see how long Emmerdale can keep their second Aaron Livesy. I mean, he will not be lacking of jobb offers in the future. Actually, I'm a bit surprised that he is still there. And of course, no one is surprised that David Tennant won the Best Actor cathegory for his part as Alec Hardy in Broadchurch. Don't they look happy and cosy?

Starry

Parry Glasspool and Kieron Richardson.

Sorry guy but I am _not_ in love with Starry. Not at all. I like Harry a lot. He is a great guy and I really think his worth a real romance, but why Ste? It just came from nowhere! I mean, he had a thing for John Paul a while ago, and what made him go for his husband instead? Because that's what he is. Ste is still married to John Paul, and know he is snogging Harry while he is in a "serious" relationship with Sinead! I mean, what is that?! Sinead is not a gay man and Harry is 17! Hollyoaks, what are you doing? When are you going to bring back McHay, which is the most sane thing in Ste's lovelife since Brendan?! And Doug, for all means. I no there is a lot of anti-McHay shippers out there, but come on. You can't really be shipping Starry? A low-water mark from Hollyoaks. I hope Christmas day will come soon.

The Horizon

The Horizon cast.

Last week I started watching The Horizon, an Australian webseries with more than one LGBT character. Actually, there is a whole bunch of them. And it is great! I've known about the series for quite a while, and I also started watching it, but since I had just seen G&T, I was a bit endamaged from that. So I never really gave it a chance. But after a recommendation, I started watching it again and finished it in just a couple of days, even though I spent my weekend at a music festival.

Jake Andrew Perry and Jay Duncan.

So, season 1 is about Jake Collins, played by Jake Andrew Perry, who moves from Bega to Sydney for love. He has met AJ, played by Jay Duncan, online and is hoping for the bid love. AJ on the other hand is not a guy who likes to settle with just one partner, and the cathastrophy is a fact. Jake moves in with Wilma Bumhurt (Patrick James) instead.

Indigo Felton and Alistair Cooke.

In season 2, Jake , played by Alistair Cooke, still lives with Wilma but are still yaerning for AJ, played by Indigo Felton. Eventually they start dating again, but when Jake's best friend Millie, played by Rebecca Sunshine, arrives with her boyfriend Micky Rose, played by Sam Davis Harris, the drama is on. We are told that Jake and Micky has fooled around some years ago, and we find that Micky is deep down in the closet. He handles that by shagging AJ in the stairs and Jake's heart is once more broken. And Micky runs away.

Patrick James, Paul Layton and Sara Louella.

In season 3 Jake, played by Paul Layton, and Millie, played by Sarah Louella, has moved to a bigger apartment but Micky, played by Matthew C. Clarke, is still missing. Later, Jake finds him wasted in a club and takes him home and they start dating. We are also introduced to Saxon (Adam George) who is AJ's new boyfriend and Stevie Hughes (Francis Mossman), who is a loyer and yearning for Jake. In the last episode of season 3, we also get to know that Micky is HIV positive.

A bit confusing? Tell me about it! Three different actors are playing Jake and two different actors are playing AJ, Millie and Micky. But there are improvement every time they change. But I really liked Alistair Cooke in season 2 though. He was really cute! But so is Paul Layton! And Jake and Micky are so cute together!

Jake (Paul Layton) and Micky Matthew C. Clarke.
Of course, I am already a huge Jicky shipper. Paul Layton and Matthew C. Clarke kind of conplement each other. And according to Paul Layton's instagram, they are enjoying each others company. They seem to be good friends. I am a huge fan of bromances between actors who are in a relationship on screen. Almost as cute as on screen.

In season five we also get to know Ritchie (Jai Rodriguez) who starts dating AJ after the break up from Saxon. And the searis is actually really good! It is very obvious that there was not a lot of budget in the first season and not that much story either because the around four minutes long episodes contained mostly résumés, opening credits, end titles and "next time in The Horizon" and stuff, but it was cute and really addictive. And the budget seems to be quite high today according to the luxuary flats and stuff. I would have liked for both episodes and season to be longer, but I am very pleased with what I get. The first episode of season 6 was uploaded this monday, so I am so looking forward for the next episode tomorrow! And I am so hoping for many more seasons!

Patrick James as Wilma Bumhurt/Dennis Forbes.

One actor who is in all the 6 seasons is the wonderful Patrick James as Wilma Bumhurt/Dennis Forbes. I can't decide if I like Wilma or Dennis the most. Wilma is fabulous, but Dennis is really cute and amazing! But hey, why choose? I love them both! I am hoping for Dennis/Wilma to start dating Bryce, who is the homophobic son of Dan, Wilmas former sugar daddy. He might be a homophobe, but we all know that the one who is shouting the most is the one who stands at the most back in the closet. I am so hoping that he will come out! So, do watch The Horizon! You will find it on youtube. Enjoy!

Autumn is here!

Janne, Aino and Tale.

So, bye bye Satula and well hello Salatut Elämät! And I am already irritated. I really don't like all the baby drama. It is so old with an accidently child with a gay dad as one of the main ingredients. And I just know that that will eventually lead to the break up of Lalle. So boring! And so old!

Petteri Paavola.

And also, Petteri Paavola will be back as Elias Vikstedt this fall. Blah... But he has been claiming that it will be a more mature Elias that will be returning. At least we will get that. But he has also said that there will be good times ahead for Larias fans and that there will be some delicious Larias stuff coming. I really really don't want that. But at least, Elias looks quite fresh.

Ronny Roslöf.

And speaking of fresh, how hot doesn't Ronny look in his beard?! I think Lari should have a beard. He should have a beard and Kalle as a boyfriend. And that's that!
